Greetings to all of you, fellow lovers of Latin (and Greek!) literature! We are Patricia and Aloysius Aeschliman, the founders of Palaestra Latina, a training ground for fluency and eloquence in both classical languages, primarily Latin.

Since 2021, we have run immersive Latin conferences for anyone with 2+ college semesters of Latin. We invite college & graduate students, Latin teachers, and anyone enthusiastic to speak Latin to join us, either in Virginia or in Michigan, where Palaestra is hosted by Christendom College and Hillsdale College, respectively.

Materials for Teaching

Here you will find resources that we have created for teaching Greek and Latin. From Aloysius’ fantasy novel, Quomodo Exitium Mundi Salvus Sustineas, and his Ancient Greek reader to handouts and interactive exercises that Patricia designed to supplement various Greek and Latin textbooks. Most resources are free, but QEMSS is available for $18/copy.
